If I could give just one thing to you and your dog it would
be this: understanding.
You and your dog probably want the same thing.
You want a fun and rewarding relationship that is based on trust and
communication. Is it possible? Can it be easy and fun?
Actually, yes. And all it takes is understanding.
- When you understand your dog, you'll be able to anticipate and
direct his behavior in a way that makes you both happy.
- When your dog understands you, he'll be able to anticipate and direct
his behavior in a way that makes you both happy.
Do you see a pattern here?
What you might perceive as bad behavior—barking excessively,
jumping, destroying things—is really just a sign that your dog
has no clue. He doesn’t know what you want or how to handle the
situation differently. With patience, you’ll both learn to communicate,
and these behaviors will be resolved.
My approach to working with dogs and people is calm. It is friendly
and warm. I love to bridge the gap between people and dogs. There is
a moment when everyone—dogs and people--each just gets it. It’’s
priceless…the best part of my job.
Training your dog doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't require shock
collars, isolation or bullying. In fact, it requires the opposite: kindness,
compassion and a willingness to listen.
I can teach you how. Let's
get started.
